Girl Meets Tech is a non-profit initiative focused on the engagement, education and empowerment of girls & women in technology and entrepreneurship. Our goal was to promote the growth and success of entrepreneurial and innovative girls/women in the technology space.
Through the Girl Meets Tech initiative, we focused on two key things: teaching girls and women how to code so they can equip themselves with the necessary abilities to tap into opportunities; and secondly working to increase the number of women and girls following technology careers.
Girl Meets Tech was a one-day conference with the right setting to empower young ladies to gain tech skills that will enable them to be economically empowered in our society and create a greater impact. There were 500 students, 25 schools and 6 speakers in one day. The event was supported by leading women in Government, Tech and FMCG.
